The planned development is to back onto farmland and woodland – ideal for residents to enjoy leisurely walks. Billericay has an enviable community feel, with exciting events being held throughout the year – including a summer festival, festive markets, firework displays, and sporting clubs.

Barleylands Farm Park is just half a mile from the upcoming site, the family-friendly attraction boasting animal petting, indoor and outdoor play areas, and regular events including a drive-in cinema.

From teeing at impressive golf courses to serene strolls through the picturesque local nature reserves, the town and its surroundings offer something for everyone. In particular, Lake Meadows and Norsey Wood can both be reached in under 10 minutes’ drive, while the Cater Museum – located in the town centre within a Grade II listed building – shows off the local history.

London is 33 miles away from Billericay. Locals can drive there in around an hour or take the train to London Liverpool Street via the Greater Anglia line, arriving in just 30 minutes. The capital is famed for its entertainment, ranging from state-of-the-art museums, art galleries, and theatres to more niche entertainment.

Billericay boasts a bustling high street, with a handful of stores fronted with charming Tudor architecture. A selection of independent boutiques and local businesses – including a jeweller and barber – are married with high-street favourites to provide shoppers with a variety of choices. Dining out in Billericay is always a delight, with the town featuring cafés and a bakery; restaurants including Lebanese, seafood and European; and a host of popular pubs. In addition, residents of the upcoming homes are just a three-minute walk away from pubs dotted along Southend Road.

For everyday shopping, there are several smaller convenience stores in the town centre, with larger grocery superstores an easy car journey away; two of the closest are situated in Yardley Business Park a six-minute drive away. The shopping park also features more specialist stores ranging from DIY to home décor.

Billericay has a fantastic transport system. The local road network has an abundance of links, with the planned homes ensuring easy access to the A129, A12, A127, and M25 – ideal for commuters. The upcoming site will be situated a two-minute walk from Factory Site Bus Stop, with services through to Chelmsford Bus Station, Arlington Way, and Billericay Rail Station.

For travel by rail, Billericay Railway Station is a seven-minute drive away, also reachable in just 15 minutes from Factory Site Bus Stop. Notably, the station has direct links to Shenfield Station, which forms part of the Elizabeth Line; arrive there in under 10 minutes from Billericay. What’s more, arrive at London Liverpool Street in half an hour from Billericay, and London Southend Airport in 20 minutes, with the latter also reachable in 30 minutes when driving and offering a range of global destinations.

The closest nurseries include Burstead Bears Day Nursery a short 4-minute walk from Mayflower Mews and The Treehouse Club two miles away. Parents favouring private education

can send their children to St. John’s School a seven-minute drive from the planned site, catering to ages three to 16.

Billericay boasts plenty of popular primary schools, with the forthcoming site situated just under two miles from Quilters Junior School, and Buttsbury Infant and Junior Schools around three miles away. Closer to the planned development, St. Peter’s Primary School is reachable in just five minutes when walking.

The Billericay School – which provides secondary and sixth form education – is two miles from the planned site, with a local bus route supplying journeys terminating nearby. Mayflower High School is a 10-minute drive away, with a door-to-door bus journey lasting half an hour. Like the former, Mayflower High School offers a sixth form for those seeking further education.

A plethora of nearby universities await residents of the upcoming homes, with Anglia Ruskin University and The University of Greenwich both around 40 minutes away via car. A little further out, The University of Essex is an hour’s drive away.
